How it works-

Once you register, you will receive a confirmation of your registration via email. That email will include a document titled Log-in Link and Case Submission Form.

Submit your case and up to 3 questions. Dr. Zane will review the questions and select three for the presentation.  Any information that could identify individuals should be omitted. Do not include any personal identification information in your cases. See below for examples. Deadline for submission- March 12, 2017.

To submit a case and questions for Dr. Zane to review and consider for this event you must register for the event. You are not required to submit a question to attend the event.

Confidential:

Supervisee with over 10 years experience in a related field has decided that a non-behavior analytic intervention would best serve her current client…

Not Confidential:

Supervisee who graduated with a Masters in Social Work from Columbia University and worked for 10 years at private agency treating veterans with a dual diagnosis of PTSD and heroin addiction….

Confidential:

I am working with a group of supervisees who work a the same agency providing in-home services to individuals with autism. One of the supervisees came to me and admitted to sleeping with more than one of the individuals in the group.

Not Confidential:

I am working with a group of supervisees who work at a small agency in NYC providing in-home services to high-functioning teens with autism. One of the supervisees came to me and admitted that she is sleeping with 2 of the men in the group.

Presenter Bio:

Dr. Thomas Zane is the Director of the Online Applied Behavior Analysis Programs at the University of Kansas.  He was formerly a Professor of Education and Director of the Applied Behavior Analysis Online Program at the Institute for Behavioral Studies, Van Loan School at Endicott College. Dr. Zane earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in psychology at Western Michigan University and his doctorate in Applied Behavior Analysis at West Virginia University. He has served as a Post-Doctorate Research Associate at the University of Massachusetts, Professor at Mount Holyoke College, and Research Scientist at Johns Hopkins University Department of Psychiatry. He is a licensed psychologist in New York and Massachusetts. Dr. Zane has published in various journals and books, presented at regional, national, and international conferences, and been an invited lecturer in Ireland and the Republic of China. His research interests include teacher training, staff development, and evidenced-based practice in autism.
