Anyone who is part of the marketing team (including the owner) for a business owned by a behavior analyst, social worker, or any other behavioral/mental health professional must adhere to codes, standards, and guidelines that on the surface seem to limit your ability to get your product or service “out there.” From limitations on using testimonials to ethical issues regarding the use of photographs and videos of clients and restrictions on using language that could be conceived as misleading (i.e. click-bait), ethical digital marketing for behavioral health professionals seems impossible.
In addition to ethical consideration, if you sometimes feel overwhelmed by all the things you’re supposed to do for your online marketing, you are not alone! Rich Brooks, founder and president of flyte new media, a digital agency in Portland, Maine, and nationally recognized speaker on entrepreneurship, digital marketing, and social media joins our favorite interviewer Matt Cicoria the host of Behavioral Observations Podcast and one of the world’s friendliest webinar moderators Adrienne Fitzer, owner of ABAC, to:
1) Answer questions like:
- “Should I invest my time in Facebook or search engine optimization?”
- “Should I build an email list or spend money on online advertising?”
- “Should I be blogging, podcasting, or posting videos to YouTube?”
- “And how about investing in my website?!?”
2) Provide a simple and flexible framework that will help you determine the essential things you should be focusing on to grow your business, regardless of what your business does emphasizing the following objectives:
- Build – How to build a website that converts traffic into leads
- Attract – How to attract your ideal customers to your website
- Retain – How to stay in touch with your visitors after they’ve left your site
- Evaluate – How to measure your effort and results to improve your ROI
Discover what it takes to start generating more quality leads from your website from a digital marketing expert who’s been doing it for over 20 years! Bonus: with Matt and Adrienne along for the ride, you know you will get the answers to the questions you ask yourself every time you think about marketing your business online while having a great time.
