Compulsive Behavior in Autism and Related Conditions

Dr. Travis Thompson

When Dr. Thompson debuted this webinar in 2015, it was then and remained the most sold ABAC history until we introduced the ABACGives Series in 2017. The following are only a few of the comments provided by the individuals who viewed that event. It is with great pride that we are bringing back Dr. Thompson to present the original content with added information on PANDAS during our 5-year "webinarversary" month.

"Great topic and speaker! Really relevant and not often spoken about."  "Wonderful presentation." "Helpful, thanks!"   "Great Presentation! very informative" "Enjoyed it. Thanks."  "Very good. It answered a lot of questions I had regarding the difference between self-stim and OCD." "Great webinar!"   "Enjoyed this tremendously. Many great tips!" Giving At-Risk Parents a Real Chance Through Parenting Training ~ 3/13/19 ~

Giving At-Risk Parents a Real Chance Through Parenting Training

Maurice Feldman, Ph.D., C. Psych, BCBA-D

When Dr. Feldman originally presented this webinar, it was the first webinar that ABAC had attempted to secure additional CE options for. Why? Because the content of this webinar, while rooted deeply in behavior analysis, is important for all professionals that provide support to parents who may have difficulty maintaining custody of their children. This was the first real beyond autism webinar that ABAC ever presented and Adrienne has asked Dr. Feldman to present this webinar a number of times over the years. It is an honor to bring Maurice Feldman, a world leading expert on parents with learning difficulties and their children and the creator of the evidence-based Step-by-Step© Parenting Program, back to ABAC to present during our 5th Year "webinarversary" month.  Live Event Information:

Parent Training for Disruptive Behaviors in Autism Spectrum Disorder: An ABACGives Event in Honor of Tristram Smith ~ 3/19/19 ~

Parent Training for Disruptive Behaviors in Autism Spectrum Disorder

Presented in Memory of Tristram Smith
[caption id="attachment_13254" align="alignright" width="300"] 2016- Tristram Smith being awarded the Haggerty-Friedman Chair at the U of R[/caption] Tristram Smith was wonderfully supportive and open to presenting for ABAC in our first year. The RUBI network of researchers were publishing their parent training program and Dr. Smith, joined by Dr. Scahill, presented the original version of this webinar in December 2015. The webinar was well received but we never had the opportunity to do it again even though both Drs. Scahill and Smith came back to ABAC to run individual webinars, with the most recent presented by Tris in January 2018. With permission from Dr. Smith's wife, ABAC has partnered with Dr. Scahill and one of Dr. Smith's colleagues, Dr. Karen Bearss to dedicate this updated version of the 2015 webinar in memory of Tris. 75% of the proceeds of this very special ABACGives webinar will be donated, at the request of Dr. Smith's family, to the Autism Science Foundation Presented by: Lawrence Scahill, MSN, PhD, Professor Marcus Autism Center Department of Pediatrics Emory University and Karen Bearss, PhD, Assistant Professor Seattle Children’s Autism Center Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences University of Washington
